Skipping Stones

Yesterday was a beautiful day, so me and Skye decided to get outdoors and enjoy the sunshine.

We headed to McKinney Falls at her request. She never remembers the name of the place, so since she was 7 years old has always referred to it as "The Moon Place".

It was such a beautiful and relaxing day. We had nowhere to be and were in no hurry. When I'm with Toby it seems like we're always in a hurry no matter where we are....he has a very rush kind of way about him...walking fast, and asking "where to next", even though I never know where we're rushing to. Almost like he's just ready to do it and get it over with so he can get back home. I've only realized lately, that he's not one to stop and smell the roses. Sometimes I feel like I'm in an episode of The Amazing Race with him.

So, it was nice to be able to just meander along stopping to skip some stones in the water....

Sit by the waterfall and watch the people and wildlife...we saw some giant fish and water snake...

We walked back and explored the old Homestead area and the trails back there...

Afterward, we stopped at The Texas Surplus Store on the way home. Skye found a knife, but I didn't find anything.

When we got home we watched the last two episodes of The Bachelor together. I really enjoyed our day together.
