Viva La Vida

Our plan today was to go and check out the art district downtown, but plans changed a little bit and we decided to keep with the Halloween spirit and check out the supposed haunted Susanna Dickinson Museum we recently heard about...

I'm not really sure where a ghost would fit, because the home was really small, mostly just the one room...Susanna's room, I presume.

Downtown was photogenic, as usual....

We got lucky and came upon the Viva La Vida parade. It was so much fun to watch. I took over 100 pictures, but I will only bore you with my favorites....

After the parade we walked to Baby A's and ate some lunch with a side of Purple 'Rita. It was a fun day.

Brushy Creek Regional Trail

I've been trying to take advantage of the perfect weather we've been having by checking out as many local trails as possible.

This week we took our bikes to Brushy Creek Regional Trail. This trail was perfect for both Toby and I, because of it's access to some more rough terrain along the creek for Toby. I stayed on what I like to call, the sissy trail...

Here are a couple of pictures Toby got from his portion of the ride...

This "tree house" along the creek looks interesting....

When we got home we carved our pumpkin, or I should say, Skye carved our pumpkin. It was the first year she did it all by herself....

Then, Toby and I ended the evening sitting outside with a glass of wine and enjoyed the beautiful sunset....

Farmer's Market Saturday

Today we checked out another farmer's market in Cedar Park. We liked this one much better than the one downtown. There were many more vendors than the one downtown...

After the market, we took a little hike at Walnut Creek. Walnut Creek is one of my favorite hiking spots....

The creek was stagnant and full of algae....

There also looked to be a lot more rock that had fallen from the bluff....

After our hike we went to Baby A's for some Purple Rita's and cheese dip. I usually enjoy Baby A's, but we sat in the bar area and there was a U.T. game going on, which meant a loud T.V. and a lot of whooping and hollering.

I'm not a fan of sports nor am I a fan of loud hollering about said sports, so I cut our drink date short. I don't do well on sensory overload no matter how much liquor I've had.
