Esther's and the Dump

The last couple of weeks I don't have any photos to post, but I wanted to log this just for future reference of the timeline of my life.

Last week I got together with my friend Robin. Since she has moved to Bastrop, we've gone from seeing each other every week to only every few months. I would love to be able to foster my personal friendships more, but sometimes odd schedules, families and busy lives keep me being able to do that. It's a sad, but true story.

So, me and Robin met up at Barkley Meadows Park for a picnic lunch and walked and chatted while Luci Blue (her dog) ran along beside us. Barkley Meadows Park reminds me a lot of East Metro, my local park. It's quiet, in the middle of nowhere and never crowded.

After the park, we drove to the Texas Disposal Landfill....aka The Dump. The dump is the landfill's "store" where they salvage anything that was picked up as bulk trash and is still in good condition and sell it to the public for an affordable price. I found me and outdoor lounge chair in perfect condition for $10.

It was a fun day, and being with Robin that day made me really miss female companionship.

Last Friday we introduced our guy friends, Dean and Ruben to Esther's Follies. This place is so much fun, I've been a few times and it's entertaining each time I go. The guys loved it. After the show we went to Baby A's for margaritas for National Margarita Day. Seems like everyone else had the same idea, because the streets and restaurants were chock full of alcoholics.

I wish I had pictures to post, but I hang out with people who aren't really into proving how much fun they're having by posting selfies all over social media, but I would still love to have some for memories sake.

Maybe I will remember to take pics next time I'm hanging with friends.
