Walnut Creek Trail - North

Toby and I had a couple of errands to run today, but sneaked off to nearby Walnut Creek Trail - North End, for a little walk along the trail.

The trail is very nice, but not very shady so it's best to go during the cooler months, unless you don't mind being pounded by the heat of the Texas sun.

The head of the trail begins at Walnut Creek Park....

Pretty yellow flowers edged most of the path along the trail....

Bridges crossed over the creek....

The creek was mostly stagnant and not flowing at these particular points under the bridge...

Pretty red Salvia....

There were many splinter trails along the trail, that I'm pretty sure, led to some of the Walnut Creek hiking trails....

We came upon an apartment complex that had pathways that led to the trail....

The trail led on to another park, but we turned around at this point because Toby had to be at work and we still had to walk back.

This gazebo sat on the edge of the creek for a nice view....

It was an enjoyable walk and a nice break in a busy day.

  1. Ta is a really nice trail! Reminds me of the walking paths in our old neighborhood in Minnesota.
