Mine and my son's birthday is one day apart so we always have had a two day birthday celebration. I'm not one of those people that try to hide my age...matter of fact I am proud to be the age I am because I am old enough to know that with age comes knowledge and experience which I might add is much better than a youthful appearance.
Yesterday I turned 46 years old and today my son turned 22 years old.
Here we are on our Happy Birthday day...

Happy Birthday to you and your son. Age really is just a number. I lied about my age from around 50 onward. I guess I've always looked younger than the stereotype of my age and people can make such thoughtless remarks about age. The one remark that is insulting and patronizing is "I hope I look as good as you when I'm your age." So I just started making myself an age to match what I must look like to others. I just took a huge jump this year. I started telling my real age. I went from 65 to 80 (my real age). I find it's not age but health that's important. When you feel good, you will find happiness at any age. Much happiness to you.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!!! Tomorrow I will be 57. I worked hard to get to this age and am proud of it!! My oldest child would have been 40 this August, so it would be hard to lie about my age.
