Early Birthday Party Chik-Fil-A Style

Being the frugal mom that I am, I always sign up for everything that has the potential of being free, including signing up for birthday clubs from area restaurants. It also excites Summer to get something unexpected in the mail.

The other day I got a card in the mail inviting Summer to a birthday party given by Chik-Fil-A. They invite all the kids that have signed up for the birthday club in a particular month and have one big birthday bash for them on a certain day during their birthday month.

Today was the day of the birthday gathering for all March birthdays at Chik-Fil-A. After our hike on Bull Creek we headed to the Chik-Fil-A to celebrate Summer's b-day Chik-fil-A style. We were looking forward to sticking our teeth into some chicken after our active morning.

When we got there a birthday table was set up with a birthday cake, balloons, party blowers, etc.

Toby and I ordered our meal (Summer's was free) and we sat down to eat.

We sat there for a while eating, chatting, and letting Summer play in the play area. This particular Chik-fil-A is typically packed to the gill, but for some reason or another the place was almost empty. After almost an hour of sitting there, no other "birthday guests" had shown up. It seemed that Summer was the only one to attend the monthly "party" which turned out to be pretty cool for her. Being the only guest, she got the royal Chik-fil-A treatment.

She got a visit from the Chik-Fil-A cow which was really cool for all of us...the cow was very entertaining.

Everyone sang Feliz Cumpleanos then she blew out her candles:

Then we cut the cake and dug in:

She even got a gift from cow:

It was a great afternoon at Chik-Fil-A...Summer gave cow a big hug before we left:

Before we headed back home we stopped to run a couple of errands. The shopping center we were in has a Specs. We had never been in there before so we decided to check it out. In a nutshell, it was a very giant liquor/deli store.

There were sample tables set up sporadically about the whole store. Toby and I made sure we hit all the wine/liquor sample tables before we left. What better idea than straight shots of liquor to knock out a cold. :-)

  2. Awww, I'm jealous AGAIN. Although I'm sure if our CFA offered anything like that we'd NEVER partake due to the crowd factor.

HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY SUMMER! So glad you got a special treat at CFA!
